Anyone here in to podcasting... I'd like to revive a local user group or at least get a group of people doing podcasting together to share knowledge, techniques and do some shows together.
I'm going to rev up my tech talk show again and start doing interviews. If anyone here is in to an interesting venture and would like to be an interviewee please post something here and we can hook up via skype, the phone or meet up in the flesh.

I don't have the outbound bandwidth to host podcasting myself.
Order fiber.
How much does that cost?
From Time Warner about 5 bills a month. From Verizon I hear it's a fraction of that. I'm trying to negotiate Time Warner down on fiber now, they already have the line to my house. 5 bills is a little too steep. If they could get it down to around 3 bills a month I would jump at it.
Time Warner is not available where I live, not sure about Verizon, but I don't think they are either. I don't have an extra 3 bills a month even, I'm barely getting by as it is.
Yeah it's tough... if it weren't for my hosting customers and my lifestream taking off it would be hard to justify. As it is, I am going to have to split the cost with my next door neighbors and rentors and put my servers at their place.
You don't really need much bandwidth to do podcasting. Mostly, you need to ftp it to a site as opposed to live streaming, softwarejanitor.
Woot! My http://austincast.com/blog/ got accepted on Itunes!
