door64 Austin LinkedIn Happy Hour!
It's time for the next door64 Austin LinkedIn Happy Hour!
If you're a Central Texas technology professional, you're invited to this free networking event. Our last one in January was spectacular, drawing almost 400 software, hardware, semiconductor, and IT folks. Here's another chance to meet your industry peers while enjoying free food, drinks, and door prizes at J.Black's downtown!
The invite has been sent to the door64 & LinkedIn group members. Please RSVP via that invite. If you haven't received an invite, simply join up at door64, or email Matt (matt@door64.com) -- either way, you'll receive the invite email to the event (within a day of joining up; it's a somewhat manual process.)

A BIG thank you goes out to our sponsors. Premier sponsor HT Staffing Professional has reserved the entire venue for this event, and is providing delicious hors d'oeuvres and fantastic door prizes.

Thanks to our co-sponsor Intrinsity for serving up drinks for our distinguished guests (YOU!)
Date: Thursday, March 27th, 5:30-10pm (and later; stay as long as you like.)
Location: J.Black's 710 W. 6th St., Suite B, Austin, Texas 78701 (map)

Just want to let you know that the folks in San Antonio are putting together a car pool for this March 27 event. It's our part to:
1) Help the air quality as we would probably have 10 or more guys driving by themselves;
2) Save on parking fees on Sixth Street (and if you have a suggestion on where to park, please let us know.)
3) Allow a couple of us to have a couple of cold ones and have a designated driver or two
4) Show our dear friend, Sloan Foster, the new vice president of marketing at HBMG Inc, that we want to go to an event where we'll see the "godmother of San Antonio technology."
If you want more info, please go to my linkedin site: Linked in: http://www.linkedin.com/in/mattscherer and contact me with a request to linked in with the phrase "Bluemule" so that I can know you're not a spambot or a professional realtor/insurance/headhunter.
Yeah where is a good parking for this place? I have not been there before.
From what I'm told, the best place to park is going to be off 7th, 8th, and, 9th street right behind J.Black's; there are meters there that are usually open. Also, there is a parking lot on 6th and Rio Grande I believe.
Also, there will be valet parking available ($6).
Almost time!! Looking forward to it!
I just extended the time of the event until 10pm (from 9pm). Since we'll have a good size crowd, this allows for people to arrive a bit later with more time to mingle. 10pm isn't even a hard-stop, but I felt compelled to put an ending time.
See you tomorrow!
Matt
