Austin Software Community Colllaboration
Discussions with individuals in the Austin area indicate a need for more ways to exchange information about software (development and management) challenges we encounter and ways others have solved them. Occasional meetings and social events help us make connections, but we need ways for long-term discussions, places for descriptions of what's worked, and good examples.
To get a clear idea of the community needs, requirements are sought here and in an upcoming Austin SPIN meeting. (See calendar for Agile Requirements Workshop on March 13, 2008) We can start now with this forum, and for anyone who can't attend the meeting, this forum will keep you up to date.
After the requirements are gathered, volunteers will get to work addressing them - here at door64 and with whatever other means are needed.
What are your thoughts? What needs are not yet being served for our software community?
