Meeting re: Semantic Web - Thursday
Help create the future of the Web -- or just find out what's coming...
The Cyc Foundation will meet Thursday night, April 10, to present and discuss the state of the Semantic Web. See the calendar for details.
Where will the Web go next?
According to many experts, including the inventor of the Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the answer is the Semantic Web. The Semantic Web consists of an emerging set of standards and practices that enable a host of compelling new applications, including improved search, navigation, information delivery and more.
The Cyc Foundation
The Cyc Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the enrichment and utilization of the open source portions of the Cyc knowledge base—the world's largest repository of machine-readable, common-sense knowledge. In this role, we work with others to expand these resources, educate developers and increase general awareness of the potential applications of the technology.
