New member hello!

Hello everyone. I'm writing from Colorado. That's a good thing, right?

I am searching for work in the Austin area and it was recommended that I spend some time here.

I was an ASIC designer in my early days, then worked on data storage and high volume consumer electronics. I now do business consulting across a broad spectrum of companies, but my sweet spot is still product development and business development of tangible products. Pure software plays are not my preference.

I have an MBA and am certified Six Sigma Black Belt by ASQ. I'd like to find something in the managerial ranks where I can apply all that I've learned formally and informally over the years. Any help you can provide will be much appreciated.

Have resume, will travel!

Welcome to the forum... Good luck with your job hunt, seems like a fairly large percentage of the jobs listed on this forum are in the semiconductor industry.

Yes, welcome Lexington. I know of some semiconductor companies hiring locally. Have you checked out Cirrus Logic? They were hiring designers like this mad this quarter.

Thanks for the lead to Cirrus Logic. I don't design anymore, but I'll look at their web site. Do you have any inside contacts?

Yes, I do. Drop me an email stating the specifics of what you're looking for, and I'll make the Cirrus intro for you: matt@door64.com

Also, as softwarejanitor said, there's lots of jobs posted here on door64. Be sure to take a look there as well!
