Power of Blogging (late bloomer)

I must say I am a very late bloomer to blogging. Only recently (January 2008) did I start my blog Virtual Enthusiasm (http://blog.cretec-web.com) about virtualization technologies. However in just a few months I have had over 10,000 unique visitors and been getting syndicated on technology sites. I even had someone who wanted to pay me for articles on their site as well. I have also had a few job offers come my way just based on it.

I knew blogging was big, but really had no idea how quick of an impact can be made. I started mine more for fun than anything. I just wanted a place to blurt out information that I worked with on a daily basis.

Since starting the site I have started my very quick education of the blogosphere and I am still trying to get up to speed before it eats me alive. I have also started to read more and more blogs as I find them a good un-filtered view of the world, even if you have to understand that it is from a certain view point.

Oh well, so I am a late bloomer when it comes to blogging, better late than never!

Congratulations on the success you've had with your blog. I've thought about starting one but I am not under any kind of delusion that anyone out there cares what I think about anything in particular.

I don't know I think something like "SoftwareJanitor's View on the World" would be a fun read, at least for me ;)

You're probably the only one then... Even I am bored with my own existence most of the time.
