The purpose of this informal survey is to understand the current state of our Central Texas job market by collecting some real data about employment within high-tech. This survey is aimed at collecting data from individuals (versus employers). I would like to hold a door64 job fair for those who are looking for local tech employment, and this is the first step.

Please take a few minutes to fill this out. Of course, you only get one submission.

All fields marked private will not be made available publicly. I will keep the survey open for a couple weeks to make sure we pull in sufficient responses.

FINALLY, if you're a high-tech employer in Central Texas who is interested in being a part of a tech job fair, please email me.

And without further ado, the survey...

If you are currently employed, enter your perceived level of job security.
1 means VERY LOW job security (can be laid off any day now), and 5 VERY HIGH job security (feel very secure).

For those looking for employment...

If you answered "Actively" or "Passively" to the above question, please answer the following.

Enter the position you're seeking (e.g. design engineer, database administrator, software architect, etc.)

If your answer to the above question was "other", please specify.

Add any comments or clarifications about your answers.
