Job Seeker?

Submitted by chadmyers on Mon, 05/05/2008 - 10:02am.

Hello all.

I'm new to door64 and I see the ability to post new job opportunities. However, I do not see how to post candidate opportunities (i.e. me!).

Where would be the appropriate place to put a post about myself asking if anyone has any leads that might suit my (admittedly) picky tastes?

Thank you!
Sincerely,
Chad Myers

Go to your "Skill Set" link (upper left corner) and then "submit Skill Set". But posting on the forum and/or your blog isn't a bad start either.

Thanks! I'll do the Skill Set thing right now.

Good luck on your search. You shouldn't have too much trouble since your niche is one of the few areas of software development that isn't completely glutted with loads of experienced people these days.

Yes, I agree with SJ. There are a number of relevant opportunities posted on our job board.

Ahh, SJ - you beat me to it!

Feel free to post to your blog too, Chad. That probably makes the most sense.

Also, Chad: have you taken the job survey yet? If not, please do!

I'm current looking for Sr. software technical leadership or architect opportunities. My expertise it taking concepts, developing them into commercial software, and delivering and supporting products in the marketplace are what I do best, in addition to building and working with bright teams of developers, qa, and other development personnel.

I've designed various enterprise systems, implemented in Java and C/C++, for mission-critical solutions.

North Austin/Round Rock locations are preferred, but central and west Austin will be considered as well.
