A Green IT forum sponsored by Microsoft, IBM, Hitachi, Dell & Sychron.

Knowledge sharing is an important part of building the alliance. GTA events are structured to provide the ability to knowledge share and make connections in your community with the people and organizations that can support your business objectives while providing an interactive and informative “structured” event.

Our first GTA sponsored event will start with breakfast and networking and then introductions from each of the panelists on their commitment to green and the GTA. Then a diverse panel of individuals from several technology industry leaders will take questions from the audience and offer their insights in the deployment and best practices for Green Technology. There will be a special emphasis on effectively evaluating and implementing Green Technology into the IT Infrastructure. Following the panel discussion there is more time to network, connect and discuss the various topics presented. The GTA fronts and backs the event with networking time to maximize knowledge sharing and allow people with limited time schedules to participate in what they most wish to participate in.

Breakfast will be catered by Central Market.

About the Green Technology Alliance

Green technology is an imperative today not only because of the challenges facing our planet but because of the challenges facing the people on our planet. We not only need to conserve and protect our resources but we must also find better ways to build economies in disadvantaged areas and sustain and grow the economy in first world countries. The reality is known what isn’t understood is how to do it. Building better economies and addressing better usage of our available resources can only happen when individuals and individual organizations understand what needs to be done and more importantly how to do what can be done.

The Green Technology Alliance mission is to build sustainable economies. We believe the only way to accomplish this mission is to create an alliance that provides the support, resources and venues that build and grow both existing technologies and emerging technologies in the Green IT space.

Simply put: We strive to help build businesses that are green, sustainable and contribute to the economy here in Austin and beyond.
