Background information
For the past 9+ years I have been an IT professional at Dell, Inc. leading diverse cross functional global teams in the delivery of complex technical infrastructure and software development projects. I managed all aspects of my projects with responsibilities for organization, coordination, communication, motivation and training for teams of up to 70 plus IT professionals with budgets in excess of 75 million dollars. I have proven experience working across multiple segments including facilities, finance, procurement, operations, engineering, data, applications, manufacturing, business, executive management and 3rd party consultants.
Skilled in all areas of project management including:
? Planning, Budgeting, Staffing
? Construction of Data Center & Lab startups
? Multi-million dollar budget maintenance
? Effective management of projects and cross organizational teams.
? Methodologies/Certifications include
CMM, SQI SWPM, PMP ? IT Global Standards Creation and Rollout
? Good understanding of both facilities system components (HVAC, generators, PDU’s, etc..) and IT DC equipment (Network switches, servers, storage, cabling, etc…)
? Managing, staffing, training, coaching and developing global staff resources.
? International project experience (Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America)
I currently am involved as a volunteer in the following local professional organizations:
• Austin PMi as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) – Professional growth and community involvement.
• Austin Technology Council - association of businesses and organizations working together to promote and enhance the growth and success of Austin's technology sector.
• Green Technology Alliance - provide support, resources and venues that build and grow both existing and emerging technologies in the Green IT space.
• Dell Alumni Association – Network of current and past Dell professionals
• Door 64 and Geek Austin - online communities of Central Texas high-tech professionals
I am also working with Housethingz Inc. as follows:
IT Contractor/Finance Director
• Install and customize database software specific to staging design work, client records and tracking.
• Fine tune and maintain website as well as incorporate consistent changes to reflect business development
• Create and maintain monthly PayPal client billing
• Assist with client onsite de-staging
Additional Responsibilities include
• Managing vendor/contractor relationships.
• Screen vendor/contractors and confirm valid licenses and secure references upon client request.
• Run daily operation of Housethingz as it relates to ongoing client requirements and support.
• Creation and maintenance of client billing systems.
