To qualify for this position you must have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent, and more than 5 years of relevant experience including:
- Excellent working knowledge of load/store micro-architecture. Prior experience with Power™ architecture preferred
- Excellent working knowledge of Power™ architecture memory ordering rules, barriers, and atomic operations is strongly desirable
- Excellent working knowledge of cache coherency and coherent interconnects
- Prior experience with 64-bit ISA implementations is strongly desirable
- Prior experience with high-performance low-power processor design is strongly desirable
- Good working knowledge of microprocessor architecture, micro-architecture, and hardware design
- Hands-on experience with Register Transfer Level (RTL) implementation
- In-depth experience with Verilog and/or SystemVerilog
- Strong background in physical synthesis, timing analysis/closure, and chip floorplanning
- Strong background in low power design, implementation, and power analysis
- Strong understanding of performance modeling and workload analysis
- Good verbal and presentation skills
