I am very excited about attending the 1st D64 career fair. The venue looks great. The Employer list is impressive and we get to network and win door prizes.

Can't wait. Off to continue spreading the word now!

Thanks
kmac

Thanks kmac! I am looking forward to it, and doing my best to help our community find the best tech opportunities currently out there.

Forgot to mention that I really like the Employer breakdown by company/positionand skills. It really helps you quickly identify and focus on your targets.

GREAT JOB MATT!!!

Thanks

Thanks for putting this event together Matt. I'm really looking forward to it. Except.. well.. hmm... I see that my employer is attending! I still intend to be there, but what's the protocol aside from wearing a paper bag over my head?

Well, the bag over your head may attract attention (unless others do it too!)

If you think the employer reps would recognize you, you could always attend this evening for the networking night (which will be a mix of those seeking a job and not). If you like, come by an hour before and say "you're early" for the networking event.

Matt:
What is the expectation for dress code at this event? Thanks!

Submitted by kmac on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 12:45pm.

My assumption would be to dress business casual as it is a career fair and not an actual interview

Thanks
kmac

Actually given that employers will actually be onsite a more formal look wouldn't hurt. I've been to career job fairs and seen a mixture of both.

My opinion would be to consider the audience and act accordinly. Go with your gut feel.

Thanks
kmac

I really wish that I could attend, but not today...too much going on down here in sunny San Antonio (including the Public Meeting for the new NBAF).
