I have my reasons. Actually have 4 other meetings scheduled for my "road trip." But, as for CTAN, I'm interested in learning what is different vs. STAN (S. Tex).

I planned my roadtrip around

I planned my roadtrip around the funding meeting at UT at 3:30pm. So I have a full day scheduled. After my Infragard meeting is finished here in SA, I have a meeting set at 1030 with a company to discuss a possible collaboration; 1230 lunch with a potential client; a 1430 with another consultant; the 1530-1730 meeting on funding. So, I might even stay long enough for that Internet Marketing meeting if I can fill the 1730-1900 slot. Otherwise I'll just go back home.

As Softwarejanitor said recently, if I'm going to burn all of the gas to drive SA-Austin and back, I might as well fill the day.
