ATC CXO Best Practices: After Series-A Funding

Picture this: you just closed your round of Series A funding. The champagne (or beer) has been popped and it's time to get down to business. You have established a business model and a clear path to a designated market space. You are probably generating some revenue from this model, but not quite generating profits. Your company might be creating a significant amount of new intellectual property, that is not yet protected. Now what?

You’ve entered the growth stage and are facing the challenges of building a business, developing a market presence, expanding your technology, and hope that one day you will become profitable. All of this, while your expenses continue to skyrocket. Offices are usually built, staff is hired and operating costs are incurred; meanwhile, your organization is not earning significant income, and you’re worried that your competitors may “rip off” your technology just when it is taking off.
This is a critical tipping point. Unless you can effectively manage your business and utilize the proper structure, strategy and tools, you'll most likely fall victim to negative cash flows and your growth will not only be halted but stopped altogether. Unless you can secure patent, copyright, and/or trademark protection as your business grows, your technology may be at risk. Luckily, there are a slough of financial, legal and strategic experts who can help.
Please join us September 16th for a panel discussion with experts from The Bankstreet Group, Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. and vcfo. Moderated by a CEO who's been through this process, the conversation will address these issues and offer advice on what you should do while still in the early, growth stages, but beyond the initial race to get funding.
