Is you design flow "clunky"

Hi everyone,

I want to know if there's anyone else out there that finds their Design flow to be "Clunky" with the disparate tools offered by the 800 lb gorillas Cadence and Mentor?? They seem to offer just point tools for schematic, Board, simulation, synthesis and if you want to incorporate FPGA development well that'll cost you even more. Is there a unified approach to the design flow that will put all these steps into a unified approach. Or is this what we have to live with.
